The Evangelische Hochschule Nürnberg (EVHN) – Lutheran University of Applied Sciences – has study programs in the social sciences, social and health economics, health and care, as well as child development, education, and theology. Our university’s educational approach is centred on the Christian concept of man. In addition to the sound academic foundations of our instruction, research, professional and continuing education programs, we also offer lectures in the areas of spirituality, personality-building, and general education. In addition to their academic coursework and final qualification, students are encouraged to reflect on their own person and ethical questions in their career and in society and to take responsibility for their personal actions in those contexts.

The manageable size of the university, with 1,500 students and small study groups, allows for a personal cooperation between lecturers and students. As a state-approved university of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria, the EVHN is part of a network of reputable institutions in education and in practice both in Germany and abroad.

Nachdem Sie ein Studienvisum bei der deutschen Botschaft oder dem Konsulat in Ihrem Heimatland beantragt und genehmigt bekommen haben, müssen Sie nach Ihrer Einreise nach Deutschland bei der für Ihren Wohnort zuständigen Ausländerbehörde eine Aufenthaltserlaubnis für das Studium beantragen.

Die örtlich jeweils zuständige Ausländerbehörde veröffentlicht regelmäßig umfangreiche Informationen zu den Antragsvoraussetzungen, den notwendigen Unterlagen, etc. auf ihrer Homepage. So beispielsweise die Ausländerbehörde der Stadt Nürnberg:

Hinweis: Bei Fragen oder im Zweifelsfall setzen Sie sich bitte mit der zuständigen Ausländerbehörde Ihres Wohnortes direkt in Verbindung, da nicht jede Ausländerbehörde immer alles im Detail gleich vollzieht. 
Studierende haben die Möglichkeit, 120 volle bzw. 240 halbe Arbeitstage pro Kalenderjahr arbeiten zu können. Ein Pflichtpraktikum zählt nicht zu diesen Arbeitstagen.
Das Duale Studium an einer staatlich anerkannten Hochschule fällt in der Regel unter „Studium“, auch wenn es ein Vergütungselement (Praxisphasen) enthält.
